We are all on a continual journey of growth and change. Therapy can be an invaluable tool to support you in making decisions that are right for you, in a way that is reflective of your goals and needs. As your therapist, I will be guided by what works best for you, whether that be exploring and understanding your inner world, developing coping skills, navigating relationships or addressing any other concern that you may have.
Maintaining healthy relationships can be a strong motivator for positive change. With this in mind, I always offer an empathic and non-judgmental presence. In sessions, we will follow a pace that best suits you, whether that be approaching issues head on, or slowing down to explore them fully.
I practice using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and mindfulness, with an integrative approach. I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach, always ensuring that I meet you where you are at, no matter where that may be. Additionally, my approach to therapy is evidence based, ensuring that the care you receive is well-tailored to you and is as effective as possible.
My areas of experience include working with individuals who struggle with depression, suicidal ideation, social or generalized anxiety and emotional regulation. I also have a specific interest in working with men who struggle with loneliness, conceptualizations of masculinity and emotional expression.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists. I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University in Quebec.

Providing individual psychotherapy for youth 14+ and adults. Available for sessions to be in English or French.
“It can be hard to feel safe in a world that is constantly changing and when we are trying to understand how to cope with everyday challenges. In session, my role is to help you understand your nervous system, patterns and work with you to help build better coping skills and develop more self awareness. Throughout my life, I’ve noticed how the world is not always built with everyone in mind. I have experience working with people who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, struggling with health issues etc. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable and safe space where you can be your authentic self and talk about the challenges and hardships you face so you can become more aware of your values, patterns and stressors.
The main tools I use come from person centered therapy and Acceptance Commitment therapy (ACT). I believe that you as the client are the expert in your own experience and it is my job to help integrate strategies that will work for you and give you new perspectives. I also use techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Regardless of what tools are used, I will make sure to check in with you to see how I can tailor my approach to your needs and how evidence based practices can support you best.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, autism, self esteem, trauma/trauma recovery, stress, burnout, chronic pain, LGBTQIA+ issues and establishing healthy relationships with others.
I am a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Masters or Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
I encourage you to reach out to see if we are a good fit and I look forward to working with you.”

“Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. Nah. I’m-a do my own thing.” - Miles Morales, AKA Spider-Man
I believe that our past is just a story we tell ourselves. Often, these stories are centred around trauma and hardships. The most painful parts of our lives get centre stage, with our triumphs and happiness cast somewhere to the side.
What is more than the story of our lives, is the lessons we take from these stories. More often than not, these lessons are some version of “I am not good enough.” I am here to tell you that you are not the problem. You are the solution. And that’s why you’re on this page right now.
I want to tell you a story about elephants. A man is walking through a field one day, and sees a herd of elephants chained in a field. The elephants are tied using only a rope and a wooden stake around one of their feet. The man is confused, and asks another person, “why don’t the elephants just pull out the ropes and be free?”
The person explains that the elephants are tied up like that when they are babies, and at that time they are not strong enough to pull out the ropes. By the time they are adults, the elephants don’t even try to pull out the ropes, because they learned long ago that they are not strong enough.
I believe that humans are in the same predicament; trapped by a set of limited beliefs that tell us we’re not strong enough to do the things we dream of.
I support my clients in understanding and challenging the stories they tell themselves, thinking about the lessons these stories instill, and working together to cut the ropes that are holding them back from being the dream version of themselves; the one they may not have even known was possible.
I am a Social Worker with several years of experience working with families, couples, teens, and children. My best skill is listening to others and helping them to connect with themselves and learn from their challenging experiences. I am trained in interventions such as Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Circle of Security, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I use a person-centred approach, meaning that my clients decide which of the above interventions is the right fit for their needs, including none. I am here to listen and support, but you decide where it is that we want to go.
I would love to support you in finding the next steps to having better mental health, and figuring out where it is that you’d like to go on your path to greatness.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
With your one wild and precious life?” –Mary Oliver, “The Summer Day”
There are so many things that I love about these lines by the poet Mary Oliver. She reminds us that we have choices about what we want to do with the unique and precious life that each of us has. That word ‘wild’ can encompass beauty and pain, joy and struggle. But even when life is at its most difficult, and even when we feel least in control, we can make meaningful change.
In my practice, I support people in making these changes. I help them to identify and work through the issues that hold them back from healthy functioning. In the safe, supportive space of therapy, we work together to develop and enhance coping strategies for dealing with the challenges and changes that life brings. We construct individualized plans to draw on your own strengths and abilities and to connect with what is most meaningful to you.
I hold an M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology with training in individuals and couples counselling. I am a member of the CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association) and the OAMHP (Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals), and I am in a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have experience in helping older adolescents and adults in coping with anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal relationships, career transitions, and other life challenges.

Therapy is a space where personal issues are explored and considered with safety and support. It can be a place where resolution, clarity, and growth happens.
Within each of us are the resources for meaningful relationships, self view, and knowing our place in the world. I work from interpersonal, attachment, and developmental models to examine present day issues, or issues from the past (depending on where your work lies), and your internal resources and inherent skills will naturally strengthen throughout the therapeutic process.
These skills and internal resources support us during life’s challenges, and bring resources to the negative effects felt from yesterday.
A safe therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to me and I strive to provide people with efficient and useful therapy work. We will work collaboratively so that you will identify your goals in therapy, and establish your treatment priorities.
Some of the issues I work with are: PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Compulsive Behaviors, Sexual Trauma, Relationship and Family problems, workplace issues, career transitions.
